I can push this problem from convert to Chef by adding the no-pyramid-fix flag. In chef, the crash is not descriptive.

With Tetrahedronize 1 in adapt.inp, Chef crashes. With Tetrahedronize 0 it seems to be working.
I am guessing Simmetrix is making some sort of pyramid that Chef does not know how to tetrahedronize?
