Testnet hardfork

P2Pool will hardfork on testnet on January 23rd at 21:00 UTC. The target of this test is to have several nodes mining to different wallets with 1-3 xmrig miners connected to each node. Big hashrate is not needed - use only 1 thread per xmrig instance, and use light mode (see command line below). You should keep an eye on warnings/errors that you get in p2pool.log and the payouts in your testnet wallet.

To join the test:

• Compile the hardfork branch:

  git clone --recursive https://github.com/SChernykh/p2pool
  cd p2pool
  git checkout hardfork
  mkdir build && cd build
  cmake ..
  make -j$(nproc)

• Run monerod:

  ./monerod --testnet --zmq-pub tcp://127.0.0.1:28083

• put hardfork_test.json next to p2pool binary:

• Run p2pool:

  ./p2pool --config hardfork_test.json --wallet YOUR_TESTNET_WALLET --rpc-port 28081 --zmq-port 28083 --p2p [::]:47888,0.0.0.0:47888 --stratum 0.0.0.0:13333 --addpeers p2pool.io:47888 --loglevel 4

• Run 1-3 XMRig instances (each will run with low priority and use only 256 MB of memory):

  ./xmrig -o YOUR_NODE_IP:13333 --randomx-mode=light --threads=1 --cpu-priority=0

• Keep mining until the test is over
