BBN's speech and language folks have very good NLP resources. Are they practical to connect to this task within the scope of available time and resources?

I have a friend in AMI, Joshua Fasching. I asked him about using AMI NLP software. He mentioned that the main thing is called SERIF, and it runs as a C++ binary, plus there is a Python library for parsing/handling the output. If we want to pursue this at some point, I can get more details from Josh.
