Create new User Role "Volunteer-Event" specifically for Non-Tutor Event Sign-ups #101

Hi @JasonTheAdams ! So I had a light bulb moment today when interacting with a non-tutor volunteer for the Thanksgiving Event. I would like to make a new User Role named "Volunteer-Event". The parameters are such:

  1. RSVP Ability: ONLY for Events in the "Non-Tutoring Event" Event Category (NOT Tutoring Dates)
  2. Volunteer Requirement: ONLY Code of Conduct AND Volunteer Release Statuses complete (NOT Background Check, NOT Orientation).

Is this an easy and quick thing to do? If it is not, we can wait until the beginning of next year.

Background: We have a good amount of volunteers who do not tutor with us and who are unable to sign up for events since they have not attended the orientation (Some do background checks since they are involved with students one-on-one, some do not.) They email us their interest - usually be responding to a newsletter (which goes to Melissa), Melissa forwards to me, and I manually RSVP for them (by duplicating an existing event RSVP and changing to their information). It would be SO WONDERFUL to have these people be able to sign up for events themselves AND agree to our policies before they join the event! It would save both the volunteer and staff SO MUCH time!

Hi @dreazee! Sounds useful!

This would definitely add a bit of complexity, as we're changing the rules for RSVPs and Volunteer Requirements. I like the idea and will get to it in 2023 after the reporting.
