Oh hiiiiiii @JasonTheAdams ! The Volunteer Dashboard doesn't want to display my ampersand 😭 Want I want to display is this: Cocoa & a Cookie But it is being displayed as this: Cocoa & a Cookie I know you worked your magic with this once before, so maybe you can do it again? If not, I will just do without the pretty ampersand... Obviously this is totally not urgent so just lemme know!

Hi @dreazee!

I'm happy to make this work. Won't take more than a moment. Where, exactly, are you trying to put the ampersand that isn't working? 😄

JasonTheAdams commented 1 year ago

Ah! I found it. I fixed this in 4e5a1dc so that the title and message can both contain fancy entities (like ampersands) as well as basic markup — like if you wanted to do <strong>look at this!</strong> in the message.

OMG I CAN NOW USE BASIC HTML IN THESE MESSAGES INCLUDING SPACES AND HYPERLINKS?????? @JasonTheAdams Say it's so!!

@JasonTheAdams Relevant to this thread, what is the Hex color code of that little circle i in the blue box in the Dashboard of the Volunteer Portal? I want to make my hyperlinks that same color. (If left unspecified, the hyperlinks stay the same color as the text which is how I fell down this rabbit hole!)

Yes! That's correct!

The hex color is #2b6cb0. If it's helpful, I can make it so links in that area are automatically the same dark color that corresponds to the type (warning, info, etc.) of message. If you want that, just re-open this.

@JasonTheAdams That would be great if you can make it so links in that area are automatically the same dark color that corresponds to the type (warning, info, etc.) of message. But I can't reopen this issue. I put the link color as #145fab ... so I was definitely off but not too far off! Kinda... But aw man, I really thought I had guessed it more accurately!
