We only specify this for the fragments feed (5.1.5), but not for snapshots or chunked snapshots, but it should really be the same for all of them. We should probably have this in one place and reference it.

Also, it's not really clear what the list means. It sounds like the only formats you're allowed to produce are these two. I guess what we really want is to say that clients must support some set of formats, and allow people to provide others.

We move this to 5.3 and say it's the list of "encouraged" formats.
