tech debt - data types #3963

Open kflemin opened 1 year ago

kflemin commented 1 year ago

review/add data types on columns and column mappings.

RDmitchell commented 1 year ago

@kflemin -- what does this issue pertain to?

There are lots of issues with data types, the main one being that users should be able to set them in the mapping step.

Is this part of that effort?

It would be nice when making issue to flesh out the description a bit so it is possible to understand what they are about.

Thanks

Hi @RDmitchell,

Sorry, yes you are right. This is a placeholder ticket for addressing all of the issues that fields without an assigned data type have been creating. @axelstudios will flesh out the ticket as he reviews the current functionality. We just wanted to make sure to have at least placeholders on the Q3 board to capture the main items that need to be worked on in this quarter. We will be added more specific/descriptive tickets soon when we have planned the work a bit more.
