@borretts Hey Stuart, this is causing build issues in develop. I'm going to pull this function out of develop until we fix these above. They're pretty straightforward. I'll fix them if I get around to it, but otherwise I'll leave them to you when you have time to fix.

FYI - I discovered this while I was adding the Travis continuous integration, which in the future will help to prevent these kinds of bugs from migrating into develop (and other branches).
