The geometric in DXF file for DXF import #66

Hi, in my project i need to import the dxf file of the stator of a BLDC motor, like other BLDC motors, the one phase coil is winded on one tooth . But I have several problems and the documentation is not explaned clearly:

Can you introduce how the femagtools set the symmetric axis of the outer, and how it produces the finaly geometric in fsl? In my project the stator outer is not exactly symmetric, but it can also be recognized as symmetric The outer circle of the external stator is like the picture: Unbenannt

and also with the tooth coils sometimes the femagtools will recognize it as 24 slots instead of 12, then we can't get the right windings set

I agree It is not possible to convert any DXF file correctly into FSL There are some prerequisite conditions to work correctly. The converter tries to identify stator and rotor, magnets, airgap and slots based on some geometric characteristics. From the picture above above I fear that this process fails. However it might be possible to improve the conversion if you can give us access to a sample DXF.
