If the opusID of the observation that is the current slide view is still loaded, the modal should not close.
This can be demonstrated by moving the slider to the middle of collection of observations; then slowly move the scroll bar up until just before it gets to the top; open a slide view modal from one of the observations at the very top of the gallery view. The slide view modal will close even though the opusID is still loaded into the DOM.
Looks to be a potential race condition for the slideshow.
