The deploy directory has a README.md that gives great instructions for the primary workflow, and at the end mentions what to do for "non-Git assets." It does not explicitly cover what to do for webpages that are non-Jekyll but whose source code is in the repo.
Due to repeated user confusion (on my part), edit the README.md to explicitly give instructions for non-Jekyll websites. Also give examples of non-Jekyll and non-Git instances.
