So, we followed these instructions because we are cancelling the event. How do we send it? Is it automatic? If so, shouldn't it show up in the Activities list?

@elandgraf If you're cancelling the event entirely, you'd want to use an email tool to send the notice to everyone. Summit Events emails are transactional, so the emails are triggered based on the event registration status. Changing the Event or Instance to "Cancelled" won't update or impact the Event Registration records, so an email wouldn't be triggered.

You should be able to run a report on that event and get your list of Registered (or whatever status they are in) and use that with your email communication tool.

There is an element where I'd hesitate to change all the status' to Cancelled, but it would depend on how you're defining such a status on Registrations. A Cancelled registration status typically would reflect that the registrant cancelled themselves, not that the event was cancelled. Something to consider based on how you're considering event analytics.
