Cool, thanks for starting this! 😊 I made an attempt at starting changelog yesterday but haven't gotten far. Unless someone wants to pick it up, I'm gonna continue.

If you want to do it, no problem! 🙂 More time for me to spend on other preparation and testing.

Guess you can simply open a PR with your changes based of the 2.5 branch.

I've sent a PR with the changelog updates: https://github.com/SFML/SFML/pull/1389 Once this is reviewed and accepted I will try to convert it into HTML for the website (if wanted).

Added the download pages. Also did this to the download page, hopefully that reduced the amount of certain questions:

It's recommended to use the SFML version from your package manager (if recent enough) or build from source to prevent incompatibilities.

And I dropped TDM 64bits support. The only reason this compiler is still supported is for all the Code::Blocks users and Code::Blocks doesn't ship a 64-bits version, so it doesn't make sense to maintain that on our side.
