Now the event is over, it is dead code. Remove it.

How well did it work anyway?

Don't know. There were 3 versions:

one with the original date/time/room
one with the new date/time/room, but without the needed and undocumented timezone-hack
one with the correct date/time/room

Did get some reports the badge triggered at the wrong moment.
