[Feature request] Additional Games supported or Generic Telemetry Format #1641

Have been upgrading my sim rig and using it with a greater variety of games. Would love to be able to access alternatives to racing games with my thumpers and motion.

Generic game support for games like DCS, X-Plane, Kayak VR:Mirage as a start of ones that definitely do have telemetry

Generic game support for the UEVR injector would be amazing, allowing further integration with any games that work with the injector. Games such as the Ride series, MechWarrior 5 and Dakar Desert Rally.

There is one app - Spacemonkey that attempts to do this in some simple ways. Maybe some thoughts on how to develop an API to allow more straightforward interfacing with the Simhub ecosystem would be ideal and let the community build out the rest.

Thanks for your suggestion, Since motion I'm considering breaking the "racing only" rule. Time will tell ;)

About Generic Telemetry Format, for me this is somehow excluded, I want every game to be properly integrated, and now with motion I add "safe" on my requirement list. With some bad data it's easy to throw away a motion rig and this is a risk I won't take.

It sounds like you're approaching this in a safe and intelligent way, appreciate how aware of the dangers you are.

Would it be an alternative approach to add more warnings about using outside data with motion? Or limiting the API to utilising the dashboard, shakers and wind?
