Hi ! This looks to be an hardware issue with the ttl adapter., Make sure to double check if connections are fine and sturdy, and if so try to replace the ttl adapter. If you can't upload the template using the editor, it means that your pc can't communicate with the screen. And so simhub won't be able to do it neither.
connections are solid.. how do i replace the ttl adapter?? thanks
That's the adapter in charge of transferring data from the computer in usb to the screen. You can read the documentation here : https://github.com/SHWotever/SimHub/wiki/Nextion-Display#wiring-nextion-display-using-an-usb-ttl
thanks
So i have never soldered the J1 jumper on my arduino. Would that be the problem?
I just bought a Nextion display and I found the embedded editor in SimHub no longer works.
when try to upload a .tft file you get error: "file version too low"
If you don't want to update the editor, at least add a note on wiki
.
Hi ! The message is present indeed : https://github.com/SHWotever/SimHub/wiki/Nextion---End-of-support#nextion---end-of-support
Unfotunately itead has been fighting really hard any kind of interoperability, and the latest version of the editor are obfuscated preventing all the additions I had to do to make it work with simhub. That's part of the reasons I had to drop support at the beginning of the last year, and why the editor can't be updated.
My bad, I missed the message, probably I reached directly the section "Wiring nextion through an Arduino Micro" from a link
I am having problems with 1 of my nextion 4.3 displays.. It used to work and stopped after an update a while ago.. i put it away for a while but have brought it out. reinstalled a new dash, using nextion editor but had to use a sd card. the dash is installed fine and i can scroll through the displays but, simhub doesnt communicate with it... I can figure how to copy the log over..
it says connecting to nextion and then nextion cant be found.
