Simhub motion with different geometry setting #1

I purchased the simhub motion license and I would like to ask a question. The geometry of my simulator is particular and is not among those preloaded in simhub. The geometry is more or less the same as that used by this Qubic QS-V20 product (https://qubicsystem.com/product/qs-v20/). I attach a photo. With only four actuators installed like this they allow me to generate not only the heave, pitch, roll effects but also traction loss. In simtools it is possible to assign any effect to each axis and for each effect it is possible to establish whether the movement should be normal or reversed. In simhub instead it seems to me that the traction loss effect can only be assigned to one (or two) specific axis (axes) that must be dedicated (dedicated) to this effect. I am aware that having one or two axes dedicated only to traction loss gives a better result but I assure you that if well set this system also allows a good result. Simhub motion (like srs) has actuator positioning presets but none of them correspond to the geometry of my simulator. For this reason I would like to know if there is the possibility of being able to freely configure my axes differently than the available presets. I saw that there is the option "import preset geometry settings from file" but I don't know how to use it and I don't even know which file to create to load my geometry. Thank you for the support you want to give me. gigi Immagine WhatsApp 2024-09-29 ore 17 26 47_cb2307ce

Hi ! Currently geometries are meant to be "known" : one of the main factor for this motion system is to be able to drive "one to one" a motion platform (for instance 3° pitch gives 3° pitch in reality). This excludes by this fact any random geometry which can't be modeled directly and can't respect this angular/height "fidelity". For random platform such as yours not able to provide such fidelity (unless very complex software "geometry" modeling, Simtools stays one of the rare options nowadays. I might offer an effect mixer it in the future but this would remove any sense of the angles and break Motion compensation (as there is no "true" relation between movements). For now I prefer to keep "specialized" to common layouts so I can offer the whole features.
