feat(out): add support for a commit_hash_file #5

@SHyx0rmZ would you mind enabling github issues on your repository? Now that it's the best maintained fork out there, I think it makes sense to upstream all changes to your repo, so it would also be great to have issue tracking there. Happy to help & contribute.

I may have gone a bit too far here with additional changes but there really was a ton of stuff broken in the implementation. Let me know if you think we should refactor them to separate PRs or if you can follow the commit history and consider this ok to merge.
