Ros mapping and navigtion 3D with sick multiScan100 #290

"Hello, I am encountering difficulties using the Sick MultiScan100 lidar sensor for 3D mapping and navigation. I would like to integrate ROS packages such as RTABMap, VHL, LOAM_3D_LIDARS, Octomap, etc., to create a 3D map and perform 3D navigation using a costmap similar to commonly used 16-layer lidars like Velodyne and OUSTER-1. I am in need of detailed guidance on how to effectively use Sick's product for various ROS robot applications. Please provide instructions for RTABMAP with the Sick MultiScan100 lidar first. Thank you."

Thanks for your feedback. sick_scan_xd provides the 3D point clouds and scan data for SICK lidars. SLAM and 3D navigation is beyond the scope of this repository.
