According to @TheBB the NIB downloader will not check if images are already present, and thus will simply restart the entire download process again. For large areas and high zoom ratios, this process is quite tedious so it would be nice if the system could detect that it was halfway done with the process already (if for some reason the program shut down during download) and thus not do the double work of redownloading it.
