> What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Enable High Contrast Chrome Extension.
2. Open a document in Google Docs.

> What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
The expected output is the Google Docs interface for a document.
Instead, I see icon bitmaps that are supposed to be hidden.

> What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
Google Chrome Version 27.0.1453.47 beta
Ubuntu Release 12.04 (precise) 64-bit
GNOME 3.4.2

I am having the same problem:

  in Chrome in Version 27.0.1453.93

  on Mac OS X 10.8.3

Happens intermittently but frequently enough to make GMail and the Google Docs
spreadsheets I use, completely unusable :-(

This is 100% reproducible by playing with gmail or a google doc for 5 minutes
and, once it happens, imposible to get past.

This chrome app "hacker-vision":

  Hacker Vision
  https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/hacker-vision/fommidcneendjonelhhhkmoekeicedej

is practically identical to this High Contrast chrome extension -- it does the exact same effect -- but does not have this bug

Same problem, Chrome 27.0.1453.116 m

Thanks for the suggestion #4, but Hacker Vision doesn't seem to work at all in
my Chrome browser.
