Identical copies of Index Table Segments could lead to inconsistencies with the new (optional) properties in ST 377-1:2011 Am2:2012 (e.g. "ForwardIndexDirection", "SingleIndexLocation" ).
While Index Table Segments are commonly distributed throughout the Body Partitions of an MXF-file, all Segments of a “repetition” are commonly placed in the Footer Partition. This would require different values in the property “Single Index Location”.
Are these “updated” Index Table Segments still considered to be part of a repetition of an Index Table or would this require a new IndexSID? Being an optional property, it obviously may be omitted completely – but if present, what is the correct behaviour?
