Difference between a “repeated” IndexTable and a new IndexTable for the same BodySID. #14

The Standard does not specify the difference between a “repeated” IndexTable and a new IndexTable for the same BodySID.

If repeated Segments have the same IndexSID, these Segments belong to the same Index Table (according to SMPTE 377-1:2011, 11.2.1), hence there would not be a second (“repeated”) Index Table, but an Index Table with double-indexed essence frames.

It would also be difficult to programmatically retrieve one particular Index Table entity (e.g. the “repeated” Index Table).

Note: Current implementations most commonly use the same IndexSID in “repetitions”.
