9.8, Paragraph 3, Sentence 3: Language Attribute Questions #38

The sentence states: "When more than one off-screen text track asset of the same type (ClosedSubtitle or ClosedCaption) is present, the Language attribute shall be used."

If there is only one ClosedSubtitle or ClosedCaption off-screen text track asset, is it programmed into the code to assume that the ClosedSubtitle or ClosedCaption language is the same as the spoken language?

Wouldn't all Closed Captions be in the spoken language, and if the language of the Closed Caption is different from the spoken language, then it is specified instead as a Closed Subtitle?

What happens when there are multiple languages spoken?

Are translations of text (e.g., signs, building names, locations, documents, text messages) specified differently from translations of speech, or are they included with the spoken language when specifying Closed Caption/Subtitle/Closed Subtitle?
