Cannot Install NodeXL #368

I get this error: "Customized functionality in this application will not work because the certificate used to sign the deployment manifest for NodeXL Excel Template or its location is not trusted. Contact your administrator for further assistance."

I contacted my administrator, but... they can't seem to solve the problem either!

[CreakyLadder@9/17/2016] I had the same issue and it looks like AppLocker (and probably other security conscious software) does not like how this app is installed in places like C:\Users\AUserName\AppData\Local\Apps\2.0\W0L33BPW.NBK\NGHVL1QV.87E\smrf..vsto_91729be392989ec5_0001.0000_083bdb81b1bad762

I tried to install the certificates manually with no success.

I did get this to work on one machine that did not have AppLocker installed but I had to make the user an administrator on the local machine to get things to install.

Also, this is not a proper Excel Add-In as it does not get installed as an Add-In and only works from the NodeXL.XLT file.

Very poor programming practices.

Same issue.

I was upgrading from 1.0.1.251 to 1.0.1.350 on Windows 8. I uninstalled per instructions then couldn't successfully apply the .exe download.

I have a pre-dissertation Essay analysis in the balance in the next week. I'm feeling very uncomfortable!

I feel even more uncomfortable that Marc is personally servicing this amazingly varied and vibrant community of users! Hats off to Marc and this community he and others have fostered! I worry about support scalability (and Marc's endurance!). Success is such a pain! ;-)
