How to maintain graph structure with changed #371

Hi everyone, A simple question which I am sure has a simple answer (that I can not find an answer to nonetheless).

I need to produce multiple network graphs that have the same layout, but with different vertex attributes (e.g. colour and shape). However, I can not determine how to update vertex attributes on the graph without generating a new graph layout.

Am I missing something simple here? Can anyone help?
