Currently there are multiple versions of the sndLHC_geom_config.py file, in particular sndLHC_TI18geom_config.py and sndLHC_geom_config.py could perhaps easily merged by adding proper flags.

One more detail: sndLHC_geom_config.py is used when generating MC and sndLHC_TI18geom_config.py is used to build the baseline TI18 geometry file, on top of which one adds the alignment/calibration constants. This issue needs some investigation in the commit history when&how the two config files emerged.
