Addition of a variable to indicate whether a person is essential for the nation in times of a pandemic (firefighter, police officer, doctor, etc.) #5016
add a field next to the profession / activity of the case and the contact to indicate whether a person is essential to the nation. This variable would take the following form:
Check that the data appears in the person section of cases and contacts in addition to the person screen from the persons directory.
Add the column in the detailed case and contact views + filter in simple and detailed view + in exports (detailed in the simple view and all exports in the detailed view)
How would you propose to call that field? In Germany we would probably call it "Systemrelevanter Beruf" or something like that, but I really don't have any clue what a proper translation to English could be.
This need is similar to the variable "staff of arm force" in the DE instance for cases or contact. Main goal to be able to classify certain people based on their occupation.
@MateStrysewske based on your suggestion: "Systemrelevanter Beruf", If this variable is directly linked to the occupation categories, then we do not even need to add it, right? we can derive/compute it. My understanding is that the goal is to classify the person as important to the nation, may or may not depend on the occupation. ie we can have 2 people with the same occupation and one is classified as yes and another as no. Is this right @carolinverset
The name show that the person must not only be important in terms of disease but any national health hazard faced by the nations. Would suggest we add a text like " health hazard" to the name.
Possible suggestions
national health hazard personnel
national health hazard profession, in case the focus on the profession
