After reading the paper carefully, I realised that no sample ages, neither direct or indirect, are provided by the authors. This violates one of the requirements of AMDir for samples to be added:

if a sample has no age, and cannot be inferred (sediment only) it cannot be included in AncientMetagenomeDir!

Therefore, we won't consider this study for AMDir.
