Update README about contributing, authors, and CIG.

These are some suggestions for the type of language about contributing I was presenting about yesterday. It is pretty much copy-pasted from CIG's template repository (https://github.com/geodynamics/software_template). If you are ok with the changes I can open the same PR for the other SPECFEM flavors. Let me know if you prefer a different wording.
