What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. enable location by wifi
2. start google maps
3.

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
my location

Did previous version of UrukDroid did it right? Does it work on Archos
default OS correctly?

This is know problem of missing certificates. It's all the time postponed for 
later fix since it can be fixed by installing (only on fresh Uruk) gapps from 
gapps4archos or arctool. But yes - it's something that needs fixing.

I had the same issue, and Arctools fixed it.
gapps4archos seems dead. Arctools is available in the applib from Archos.
