[BUG] Drone test "Drone Infiltration" employs wrong skill #1291

Open Melmoth92 opened 1 month ago

Melmoth92 commented 1 month ago

Describe the bug The test "Drone Infiltration" in the drone sheet uses "Perception" instead of "Sneaking" as skill when control mode "Autopilot" is selected. For the three other control modes the test is done correctly.

Modules n/a

To Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Create a drone sheet with appropriate attributes and skills.
  2. Select in the tab "Vehicle" the control mode "Autopilot".
  3. Activate the test "Drone Infiltration".
  4. See the problem.

Hey there,

could you reference this in the rule book for me?

Only using the core rule book, I only find Drone Infiltration on 270 where it states:

When operating independently, drones roll Pilot + Stealth [Handling] vs. Perception + Intuition [Mental].
[...]
When jumped in, the test is
Stealth + Intuition [Handling] vs. Perception + Intuition [Mental];

From that I'd gather that autopilot is correct, but the control mode Rigging is missing it's implementation. Also, to be honest and since Rigging is rarely used in my group, I can't find perception at all. Though I remember having had this discussion again and adding it in for that reason.

Edit: Also, all modes are missing the oppsing test.

Hi!

Yeah, I mixed them up. The test when Autopilot is selected is correct, but not for the other control modes. Apologies for the confusion. However, "Perception" should not be part of the test on the vehicles side when running for stealth. Page 184 under "Sensor Attacks" states that the test to avoid being detected by sensors is the

[...] target’s Infiltration + Agility [Physical] (metahumans, critters), **Infiltration (Vehicle) + Reaction [Handling] (driven vehicles)**, or Pilot + [Model] Stealth [Handling] (drones).

Keeping in mind that the word "Infiltration" is most likely a typo and should read "Stealth" this plugs the hole in the rules von page 270 and the "Stealth" skill of the vehicle still applies even when in remote or manual operation. Only when jumped in should the riggers skill apply.
