I am trying to understand all the roles in this playbook, and I am having some difficulties that I can hopefully document at the end.

the role record-offloader AFAIU, seems to be used to install a complete bbb server except it should only be used by other servers to record videos.

The script: scalelite_post_publish.rb seems to be, somehow, what enables the server to do so.

Please tell me if this correct, and if not, what is the purpose of the offloader.

Sorry for not getting to this in time. It seems though by your kubernetes install of BBB that you were able to figure it out. The offloader will change from being a full bbb installation with user access disabled to just the essential systemd scripts that do the recording processing.
