Background CSS hack less effective on Safari #8

Describe the issue: On Safari (both laptop & mobile) on the homepage the top teal banner doesn’t reach all the way across so there is awkward white space. Estimated priority (0 = fix ASAfP, 4 = minor quibble): 4 (very cosmetic)

Reproducible? Always on Safari broswers. Reproduction steps/Context (pick one): • Occurs on the top bar of the homepage, http://www.srhrmap.ca|www.srhrmap.ca as well as the about us page http://www.srhrmap.ca/about|www.srhrmap.ca/about, privacy page http://www.srhrmap.ca/privacy-policy|www.srhrmap.ca/privacy-policy, and terms of service page http://www.srhrmap.ca/terms-of-service|www.srhrmap.ca/terms-of-service (every page that isn't the map itself, I think) • Happens on my MacBook Air and an iPhone on Safari browsers. • MEDIA!!!!!!!! :face_with_symbols_on_mouth: Slack isn't letting me attach photos. Note: the latest design spec from Becky removes a lot of the full-width backgrounds, but not all of them. If this issue persists I can ask her to come up with an alternative.
