Support for multi-line descriptions was added back on Unreal Engine 4.4x if I recall correctly.

What cannot be done presently:

  • commit description message cannot take more than one line (Editor limitation)

Oh also merge tools for blueprints is done in 4.6

Thanks for reporting this! I've started to update the plugin and its readme; supporting merging on my side needs some rework and will take some time.
