The Collins Scrabble Words list contains 199777 words that are 10 characters or shorter. This is about twice as many as the 99589 words in the British Hunspell dictionary. This could probably bump up the number of games for English from a little more than a thousand to several thousands (similar to Danish).
On the other hand, the list also includes interjections like aargh and zzz and also quite colloquial nouns like zzzs. The explanatory list can help filter out these and also slurs.
Finally, the explanatory list is something we could use to provide non-external explanations of the word?

For the English version (both British, Australian, and American) we can use Collins Scrabble Words instead, as is available here
With the explanatory version, we also can obtain the type of the word (noun, verb etc.) to filter out any we do not want.
