Hi Team Zinc,

Here is some feedback on your progress report. Your TA mentor will also provide some feedback, as well as the results of marking.

• The revised division of labour seems imbalanced. In particular there seems to be a very heavy load for Cindy. Please make sure that other group members are also contributing where they can on remaining project work, especially on result interpretation, report writing, preparing presentation, etc.
• In your PCA plots where you say there is no evidence of batch, what is the batch variable? Point shape/colour is by T2D and BMI.
• You state that sex and age are no longer part of the hypothesis, but are they significant sources of variation that should be acknowledged? What is the justification for removing them?
• Your interpretation of the BMIover30:statust2d coefficient is incorrect. You haven't quite addressed your main question yet.

here are some of my feedback:

• I agree with Keegan That the division of labour is very imbalanced. Please make sure to update it so everybody gets a relatively equal workload.
• You should try embedding the plots and images with the md file rather than linking it to your repo
• On that note, please start organizing your repository to store the images and analysis files in their own directory
• It would have been nice to show which genes were obtained as DEGs from your analyses
• You haven't mentioned how the results from PCA will tie into your further choices for DEG analysis design
