How to add external conent? #151

A fervent STEP fan here. Is there anyway to add external contents to STEP? This may include, in the order of difficulty:

  1. Adding notes
  2. Integrating data from outside STEP, such as an external URL. Is there an API for this? I'm a web developer.
  3. If all above are unavailable, how can I build my own commentary and install it just like any other commentaries? I notice they come in seemingly proprietary format of bzs, bzv and bzz.

The reason for such request is, I love jotting downnotes in my scripture reading, especially when preparing Bible studies I consult many commentaries and I want to consolidate everything into STEP. Also, if we can implement such a feature (mainly choice 1), please make sure we can backup/export/import our notes.

God bless, M.

Hello!

It is good to hear of your STEPBible usage. The Bibles and Commentaries are in SWORD format. It is widely used by many hundreds of Bibles. The Sword format (https://www.crosswire.org/sword/index.jsp) is created by a different project outside of the STEPBible.

Some of us starts up a Google doc in an iFrame to write and/or read notes. Try the following URL.
