N/A - it's a poor release management issue on STMicroelectronics side.

The release tag v2.3.0 points to v2.2.1.

How to reproduce the bug (skip if none)

Investigate the code base 😄 .

Additional context

Cross check with source code bundled with STM32CubeF7 v1.17.0 and v1.17.1. Also check content in Release_Notes.html of tag v2.3.0, it ends with v2.2.1 / 24-January-2018 – not v2.3.0.

You're absolutely right. Tag v2.3.0 should be changed into v2.2.1. This will be fixed soon. Thank you for having reported.
