Hi, @a-gavin,

thanks for submitting this pull request. I committed it partially (see 2c186c00c17c), because I'd rather have a fix for the LD_PRELOAD problem, than document it.

I'm not sure you have seen https://github.com/SUSE/libpulp/issues/26#issuecomment-898689178. Would you be willing to write the fix yourself?
