To answer your question, we might have time to analyze in order to show that if there are any correlation between certain types of trash:
- With some manual work for summarizing the data, I have seen that there is a relationship between the amount of Polystyrene and PlasticBottles over years, since in most states, it both decreases and increases. For this case, our team will use line chart or bar charts in order to visualize a pattern of trash accumulation for each type of trash to observe more trends. This could not only give us information about the relationship between Polystyrene and PlasticBottles, but also differentiate the amount of other type of trashes in order to come up with some patterns in set of trashes by calculating frequency, so that we could analyze potential human behaviors.
- For plotting graph, we believe that line graph or heatmap would be the most suitable for observing trends and relationship between 2 type of trashes, but it would not be the most efficient for comparing all collected trashes, so maybe our team will discuss more about it. We might use boxplot to compare the distribution from the trash volumes to observe the co-occurence pattern.
You should review the question part as we only need 2 questions, and these are the questions that you are going to present.
For visualization, charts are enough, we don’t need you to make dashboard for this assignment.
From my understanding, you are using some sorts of time series to show the performance overtime of trash wheels, or trend in wast composition. How about the visualization for your questions 2?
