Window Flickering Issue w/ Moodle Quiz SEB Configuration #349

Hi folks! I believe that this is related to the WKWebView process in MacOS, but we had a student report a screen flickering issue in their SEB window on a MacBook 3 while they were taking a Moodle Quiz with a time limit. We've attached a (short) video of what it looks like to this bug report. I have the SEB config file but the extension isn't supported by GitHub, unfortunately. :P

It looks like the flickering is a display issue specifically occurring inside of the SEB window, but not including all of the elements. The Moodle Quiz timer stays in front of the flickering, and it doesn't occur in any other screen region. Anyone have any ideas why this is happening?

Please send SEB log files of a session when this happens.

You can simply compress (zip) the .seb file, then you should be able to attach it.

Ah, that's a shame, I don't have access to log files and the instructor/student machines are unavailable to me. Hopefully this ticket turns out helpful for other folks in identifying the issue visually!

I have noticed this twice in the last few weeks, but never before. I'll send log files of affected users via email.

Both had Intel MacBook Pros with macOS 14.3.1 and SEB 3.3.2 (and Moodle 4.1.2)

One user had a red screen right at the beginning of the exam and then experienced black flickering 35 minutes later without doing anything (trying a shortcut, clicking a specific button etc.) that directly triggered it.

Btw: In the video above, the flickering does cover the timer.
