Describe the Bug Safe Exam Browser setup failing, tried installing the .Net Framework manually and installing it, it said already installed, so uninstalled it then re-installed, that did NOT fix the problem. Tried to Repair the WebView2 runtime dependency from the control panel, same error persisted. The same options were tried for Visual C++ Redistributable (latest version), repairing did not help either.

Network connection and speed was also checked by running a speed test. See screenshot below:

There is also no 3rd party anti-virus software running on the machine (Only Windows Defender).

Steps to Reproduce Steps to reproduce the behavior:

  1. Go to 'SEB_3.8.0.742_SetupBundle.exe'
  2. Click on 'Install (accept terms and conditions first)'
  3. Scroll down to 'Install'
  4. See error

Expected Behavior After installing, Safe Exam Browser launches Kiosk Mode and the student proceeds to attempt the assessment.

Please make sure that the .NET Framework version 4.8 is installed on your system. If not, install it manually from https://dotnet.microsoft.com/download/dotnet-framework/net48 an then retry installing Safe Exam Browser.
