  1. When I switch on,how long does it take to warm up? Does it show it's ready like the Nano?

  2. When to use cold start? How to use it best?

  3. For survey mode When Zen is INSIDE the case I notice it is only about half the CPM displayed. So you have preset Zen to cut out some CPM for survey mode? How do you determine how much CPM to cut? I want to amend because I notice it displays CP5s ...ie. counts per 5 seconds instead of CPM as in drive mode

  4. Still in survey mode, Now I take zen OUTSIDE the case and put on the source I want to monitor. The CPM I get is just the radiation emitted from the source. Correct? You have programmed the ZEN to subtract out the ambient CPM??

  5. For Settings...configure your device We should not touch this. Correct? When do we need to use it?

  6. For debug info What modules and data do I need to connect?

  7. How long does the battery last after a full charging

  8. At the bottom of the screen Please explain the symbols Info 79% GM GPS0 SD WF BT

Some quick, simple answers: 1) It takes about a minute to do the first correct reading. For cold start to 1 minute an average is displayed. The display will be showing yellow, orange data. After one minute, the data will be shown in white. 2) Cold start of the GPS or a cold start of the Zen? 3)Data is not changed if it is changed to different modes. Only the units are switched from CPM to uS/h (on V3.2.1). CP5 because it will not average the counts over one minute. Just every 5 seconds. A must for finding hotspot in survey mode. 4) You always read the background and the source. 5) The settings will be explained in the manual later. For the moment, do not change them. 6)Debug is only for displaying all the data. No need to connect anything. 7) battery should last about 16 hours (in my tests) and can be swapped, if the USB cable is connected to a power source, while the unit is running. With a OI changer, you can charge wireless while the unit is on. 8)Info 79%= battery level GM= GPS= number of satellites. SD= in the sd card reading or writing (colors do change) WF= WiFi mode BT= blue tooth mode
