Switch outstanding bgeigie import counts to moderators only

Seems to just cause folks some confusion around drive upload handling and extra email workload, so we'll switch the count to mod-only.

well short question from my side,

i read alot about improvements, about auto approving, and mod only options, but since i read that,

i noticed, alot of my uploads fully filled, with all the metadata inserted,

only droping down month by month growing older and ooooolllddddeeeerrr and only new ones and thats contains short new drives getting approved,

also i remember i read once "that older uploads are ignored, cuz they "may" contain, bad data.."

but just keep in mind, if noone approves new uploads, they grow old, day by day week after week monsth by month

and thats a failure in the Design if new data gets old just by waiting to get approved and get not even touched, even if u include a coment whats going on with the old data..

i actualy have Data dating back to last year, still waiting to get approved, never been touched and i read alot talk about people dont fill in the metadata, and this stuff,

but hey, if even the ones, with all data filled up, dont get updated,

u know how many people tick, the loose very fast interest in things wich dont work... not everyone is a nerd like me, with the passion hovering over his work...

i know its a heart wish of sean getting all the incomplete uploads into the map, but hey why not focus more on the ones wich are allready attached with all data... if it dosent work on fully filled data, why even trying to do stuff wich is incomplete ....

i knew u guys work very hard on that, but please dont use methodes like, its old and can be ignored cuz its so old that it "MAY" contain... may is not fact, using i may, it may is like, asking a Ball of Glass about the Reality... and i think we try to put facts on the map, not wishes, or forecasts......

i know sean once stated that its not in the interest of Safecast been a social plattform, but and iam still thinking, without options of the People and theyr feedback its work with blind eyes for the problems of the people, just by working with a handbreake allways on.

People love the work, the Idea, only been noticed by approving theyr uploads for the passion and work, is the only thing Safecast gives them back, thats the approval and seeing theyr work on the Map.

seeing hours of work just growing old, ending to be ignored cuz, "they may contain" adds a bit unhappyness to theyr live ;-)

PS: i still think safecast ist a very great Projekt, but without the social component its a Nuklear Plant, for charging a tripple a Battery only, by robbing its full potential......

PSPS: one point i forgot, if a upload is declined, by infoemail, its a bit silly if u follow the email link and end in a empty space because its gone, just keep in mind, using the drive app, dont store any data, if its gone, its lost...... (in my case my bgeige Memory is broken, writing data on the memory module, chaused me alot trouble in the past, since i know the culprit, i only uploaded the drive app data, and all the past Problems with datacorruption lost gps were gone... but working with the drive app, i have no backup, no way to find out what was deleted...)

I appreciate your passion @Lugulbanda - not sure there's anything to say other than what you've already heard.

We have a small pool of moderators that do their best. We're working on efforts like https://github.com/Safecast/safecastapi/issues/527 and https://github.com/Safecast/safecastapi/issues/379 to help remove the moderation bottleneck.

If you have an example email on that, please forward it. A rejected drive shouldn't just be "gone". Might be we have a bug in the rejection email template.

As usual if you or anyone you know is interested in contributing code to the system, we always welcome the help. At any skill level. We'll keep pressing on with the resources we have available.

• That’s not true, not sure where you read that. No drives are ever ignored. They are approved or rejected.

Drives are not approved or disapproved because of metadata - they can’t be submitted for approval without metadata which is why we are prompting people to make sure to submit the drives they have uploaded. -s

I didnt dreamed that sentence, it was written like this, maybe i misstranslated it, or missunderstood its meaning, and that conversation is from a year or more ago , actualy i dont know were i exactly read that reply , if it was in github, or via pm Mail.

my comment on new files, even the ones wich got accepted yesterday, all had the same comment attached with asking about the older uploads, wich got not touched see logid link below.

Drives are not approved or disapproved because of metadata - they can’t be submitted for approval without metadata which is why we are prompting people to make sure to submit the drives they have uploaded. -s  

sorry i sayed that unclear , i only meant, allready submitted uploads, waiting for approval, growing old by Months, while seeing short drives, short new drives get aproved.  :)

i never saw metadataempty uploads, magicaly getting aproved or dissaproved, sorry seems my bad english, hit me again  ;-)
