1 year ago this issue is not present in the local version of the game, therefore something is wrong with how pieces are being placed over the next. Potentially some information needs to be sent
When pawns are taken in an online game, only the local side pawns are placed correctly to the side. eg. if you are black and your pawn is taken by a white piece it will be placed in the correct spot. However if you are black and you take a white piece it will not be placed correctly.
