This plot (pasted below) is difficult to parse, and plotly's zoom feature is not helpful on faceted plots.

I'd like to be able to filter out years. Years without any data should not be included at all. I should be able to select or deselect years to, e.g. plot only the year or two I am interested in to answer a given question.
