Hue plug switching off, even when automatic shutdown isn't enabled #58

Good afternoon / evening I have updated Octoprint from 1.8.2 to 1.8.4 And .. strangely enough, the Ophom plugin is switching off the Hue plug, even when it's not on automatic shutdown. If it is on automatic shutdown, it also shuts the powerplug off, even when de minumum temp (100C and 50C) are not even reached jet.

Besides from the obvious values in the octprint log (e.g. Ophom version, Info to IP address of the Hue bridge) there is nothing in there. So I can't find anything obvious that can cause the problem :-(

Reverted back to 1.8.3 Same problem. The problem vanishes when you disable the Ophom plugin....but that's not the intention of the plugin ;-)

Hi Martin, Can you disable all security shutdown feature for testing? Presently, I have no idea where the problem could come from.

Hi Stéphane

A couple of things.

1) As you can see, the plugin has nothing ticked that is active

2) I have disabled all plugins I have, except the Ophom Plugin

In the logfiles is this:

2022-10-04 19:34:23,514 - octoprint.util.comm - INFO - Starting job on behalf of user martijn 2022-10-04 19:34:23,517 - octoprint.util.comm - INFO - Changing monitoring state from "Operational" to "Starting" 2022-10-04 19:34:23,527 - octoprint.printer.standard.job - INFO - Print job started - origin: local, path: Ender 3 bed leveling wheel clips v2 thicker arms_40m_0.16mm_235C_PETG_ENDER3V2.gcode, owner: martijn, user: martijn 2022-10-04 19:34:23,608 - octoprint.util.comm - INFO - M110 detected, setting current line number to 0 2022-10-04 19:34:23,624 - octoprint.util.comm - INFO - Changing monitoring state from "Starting" to "Printing" 2022-10-04 19:34:23,685 - octoprint.plugins.action_command_notification

3) I have captured the screen when the error occurs, so you can see that the power is switched off. Even when the temp's aren't even near the not set values. Because of the size of the capture, I am not able to send it through an email, so you can download it if you want from:

I really do hope you can do something with the code to fix it. It worked like a charm on Octprint 1.8.2 with Ophom 1.5 O, and by the way, Ophom is the only Hue plugin I have installed. So there can nothing be interfering with it.

Kind regards

Martin

I think the problem come from the security settings. By default, if the bed reach 80 °C the plugin turn off the printer.

What did you put as settings ?

Martin-Ox commented 1 year ago

:-( Stupid, that was it. In my opinion, when not enabeling one of the two options under Security Shutdown, this would not be active :-( But in fact there are 4 options, on which the Nozzle and Bed temperatures are always active.

So I have now set the max temp for the bed to 110C and its working as it should.

Sorry for the inconveniance and thanks for your good work on this plugin and support

Kind regards

Martin
