Process Builder and Notifications #11

@jrattanpal Hello, sorry me again. Since your last update there is now two apps, Issue box - console and Issue box - standard, is the meant to be the case?

are you able to explain and give me a link on what the process builder does? I have noticed when I deactivate it, nothing is really impacted. Does it have to be on for the app to work?

Also, I'm not using email notifications only bell notifications. I think when I activate the process builder I get two bell notifications, I need to do more testing on that but seems if deactivate it I still get notifications. Also, when a user sends a comment, do they need to @ for the bell notification to show?

Thanks again Ross

1) Both are just apps in the org. One with Console navigation and other one with standard. Some users prefer one over the other. But it has no implications on how IssueBox works

  1. Here is more information in Process BUilder. https://trailhead.salesforce.com/en/content/learn/modules/business_process_automation/process_builder. Please note that Process Builder may be EOL soon

The old version of app used Process Builder. But because Process Builder maybe EOL soon, I have moved that logic to Flow. IssueBox does NOT use Process Builder anymore.

  1. Notifications are for when someone @mentions a user. They are notified via Salesforce notification (bell icon). It has nothing to with any tool or app.

Hope this helps

@jrattanpal ok, thanks, any ideas why there is two status updates as in the attached, when I have changed to Closed?

I am not sure off the top of my head. You can debug the flow and see what maybe causing it.

I'll have to check on that but won't be able to do it soon because of other current priorities.
