One thing that you may want to reconsider is using dropbox site for sample data storage. ADFG does not allow to accessing the site . I am not sure if ADFG is an exception, but this may hinder us using it.
One option is storing the sample data in the Shiny server and use a conditional panel and select input.
That is, when you check “Get some sample data”, a select input shows up, from which user can choose a sample data file for a trial.

Have incorporated sample data selection directly into the app menu. Users do not have to download anything. (but can download the sample file.) - Testing version only for now. Will close this issue after next release
